High Resolution 2560x1440

PostMon Apr 09, 2012 2:12 am

Make the game from the beginning in a high resolution. I know that there aren't a lot of displays out which can handle the resolution, But it will make the game stand out against the past even more.
And when they arrive, LSL is on the frontier of being one of the games letting you enjoy every single dot on your screen!

(Plus it's a good excuse to get a 27"screen today )

Good idea, just have it scale to fit a 1080p monitor as well (for those of us who can't afford a 27)

The resolution we use to make the demo was 1920x1440

While obviously our backgrounds are in much higher resolution, creating a such a high resolution game is budget dependent and I guess priority dependent.

wow! nice! i like it alot.. designing it in high res from the onset, will make it fit well into the new iPad3, and the HD android tablets (1920x1200) coming out in Q3. Please do consider the tablets as well. thanks!

How many options to the graphics are you shooting for? My suggestion is the more the better for people to see that you want the game to run on whatever the fans have.

Wow.. I'm probably not going to have a computer/monitor capable of doing that justice for awhile.

Might be worth doing a post about it running in the full iPad resolution, and the resolutions you'll offer on PC. It's kind of amazing to see that level of detail, after a decade of the genre not really pushing the graphic limits.

One might wonder who needs a 2560x1600 and higher resolution... I doubt anyone could see the difference between this and, say, the new iPad
